Internships

7L offers programs that give students real-life experiences

7L Farms believes that the future of animal agriculture and agriculture in general lies in how well we train our youth for the future. In order to serve the hands-on training needs of college students from US and foreign universities 7L offers programs that give students real-life experiences on a purebred cattle operation.

Many of the students who participate in the program are in some stage of college training in animal science or are pre-veterinary and veterinary students seeking to learn and understand the day-to-day management and care of animals in a business setting. The internship experiences are tailored to each student's skills and interests, and include normal farm chores plus the opportunity to manage a special research project that is being conducted at 7L during their time at the farm.

Now that 7L is getting its DNA, IVF and ET lab operational it is expanding the internship opportunities to include students with more scientific interests but also seeking to gain experience in application of these technologies on a real cattle farm. Most of the students spend a minimum of three months and some stay up to one-year in the internship. 7L Farms provides housing and a small salary during the internship. Interested individuals should contact 7L for more information about eligibility and how to apply.
