Ranch Horse Photos
At 7L Farms we ride horses everyday and, as a result, our ranch horses get a lot of saddle time. They become very well trained in how to handle themselves in situations such as opening and closing gates, sorting cattle in open fields and tight corral areas. All of our horses become experienced in herding, cutting and roping cattle. Because of the varied experience level of our interns and employees at 7L, we rely on quiet intelligent horses bred to be ranch horses that most often times know more than the riders but can teach the rider what they need to know and do in certain situations.
We select our horses from breeders based on conformation and pedigree with heavy emphasis on foundation quarter horse bloodlines known to be cow-savvy, intelligent and have good dispositions.
From time to time we sell ranch horses to the public and, beginning in the fall, at our commercial bull and female sale on September 29, 2008.
